香港遊記. Journey with Hong Kong Tourism Board Calendar

Hong Kong Tourism Board Calendar 2020 is designed to show the beauty and richness of Hong Kong and at the same time, bringing out the city’s distinctiveness through unveiling hidden or unexpected scenes with a local perspective. Apart from its aesthetic function as a desktop calendar, it can also be a carrier of interesting information that only experienced locals know and love.

While Hong Kong has been widely promoted as a travel destination, many including the locals, are not familiar with Hong Kong’s unique offering. Our team’s challenge is to uncover the distinctiveness based on extensive research and evaluate them internally.

More than just a calendar, we wanted to transform these details into a ‘storybook’ and communicate that the country is a vibrant, bustling art hub through art pieces in the different months. To highlight its distinctiveness through unexpected or hidden places, our team rolled out an in-depth research on the art scenes and culture in Hong Kong, learning the bit and pieces of each territory. Finally we put everything in place and finalised the best 12 stories to be featured. With the aim to move away from photo-centric direction, we engaged 5 illustrators to create visuals for the stories based on their own interpretation and style.
